Where we stand
AI is for the adults in the building. Not the students.
AI has real benefits and real dangers, and schools are rightly mixed about it. We’ll walk you through every step, so you get the hours back without the risks.
âś“ Staff should use it
- Draft family emails, newsletters and plans in minutes
- Clear the paperwork that keeps you from students
- With clear rules for privacy and checking its work
✕ Students shouldn’t
- Learning happens in the reading, drafting and struggle
- Many AI tools are age-restricted, and student data is at risk
- You’ll learn how to keep student work their own, kindly
Who it’s for
Everyone who keeps a school running

The 10 days
One skill a day, used on real work
Each lesson is short on theory and long on doing. By the end you’ll have drafted real emails, plans and summaries, set your own privacy rules, and built an assistant for a task you repeat every week.
- 1
Meet your new assistant
One real email from your inbox, drafted in two minutes instead of ten.
- 2
The four-part prompt
A reusable prompt recipe that gets a usable first draft almost every time.
- 3
Student privacy and your district’s rules
A clear personal rule for what never goes into AI, and how to de-identify everything else.
- 4
Family communication that lands
A hard parent email handled calmly, plus a translated family message.
- 5
Planning and materials in minutes
A finished resource (lesson piece, activity, sign, checklist, or event plan) you will actually use next week.
- 6
Office work: summaries, schedules and spreadsheets
Meeting notes turned into action items, and one spreadsheet problem solved.
- 7
Check its work
A habit and a checklist for catching AI mistakes before anyone else sees them.
- 8
AI is for staff, not students
A clear, kind way to explain why student work stays AI-free, and a plan for when you suspect AI use.
- 9
Build your own assistant
A personal prompt library, or a custom assistant set up for one task you repeat.
- 10
Your AI plan
A one-page plan: three tasks you will hand to AI every week, and the time it gives back.
How it works
You walk away with proof, not just notes
Watching videos about AI doesn’t change your week. Using it on your own work does.
A lesson opens each school day
15 minutes, Monday to Friday for two weeks. Read it on your planning period or with your morning coffee.
Use it on your real work
Every lesson ends with a build: an email, a plan, a summary, a prompt. Things you needed to do anyway.
Write down what you made
A sentence or two each day. By Day 10 you have a record of everything you built.
Pass the final check
15 practical questions. Score 12 or better to pass. Retake it as often as you need.
Get your certificate
Your name, a credential ID, and a public verify link. Download it, print it, add it to LinkedIn.

Questions
Good things to ask first
Does this teach students to use AI?
No. This course is for staff. Our position is that adults should use AI to save time on their own work, and students should do their own thinking. Day 8 covers how to explain that to students and families, and what to do if you suspect AI use.
Do I need any AI experience?
No. Day 1 starts from zero. If you already use AI a little, the privacy, checking and assistant-building days will still level you up.
Which AI tool will I use?
The course covers ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Claude. Use whichever one your school or district has approved; every lesson works in all four. Day 1 shows you how to find out what is approved.
What if I miss a day?
Lessons stay open once they unlock, so you can catch up any time. Finish all 10 and the final assessment whenever you can.
Is this safe for student privacy?
Privacy is built into every lesson, and Day 3 is entirely about FERPA, approved tools and de-identifying information. You never need to enter student information to complete the course.
Can my school pay for it?
Yes. You get an emailed receipt for reimbursement. To enroll a whole staff on one invoice, contact us for group pricing.
Is the certificate official?
It is issued by Sizzle with a unique credential ID and a public verify page, so a principal, hiring manager or district can confirm it. It is not state licensure credit; ask your district whether it counts toward professional development hours.
